Outstanding performance: TDK honors its distribution partners in Europe
TDK Europe has honored its best distribution partners for TDK and EPCOS components. There were two winners of the TDK Distribution Award 2014 in gold: Digi-Key Europe and Mouser Electronics. Silver awards were won by Anglia Components, Farnell element14 Europe, Gateway Electronic Components, RS Components Europe, and TTI Europe, while bronze awards went to Arrow Electronics Europe, Beckmann Elektronik and EPi Components.
The awards are based on TDK’s annual Senten Manten distributor performance evaluation program. The Japanese term, Senten Manten, stands for the perfect result, which is reached with 1000 points. The award recognizes the distributors’ performance and collaboration with TDK in four categories: business performance, inventory management, contractual terms, and operational excellence.
“I am pleased that we have ten award winners this year – almost twice as many as in 2014,” said Dietmar Jaeger, TDK Vice President of Sales Distribution, at the award ceremony in Munich. The increase in the number of awards clearly demonstrates their high status within the industry. “Our distribution partners are now asking what specific actions they should be taking in order to achieve better assessments. This in turn improves our collaboration and strengthens growth for both sides,” stressed Jaeger.
