Your technical challenge: Design of digital circuits for MEMS microphone mixed-signal ASICs

As a digital IC designer with TDK, you will be involved in all phases of development from pre-study to evaluation of digital and mixed-signal ASICs for MEMS microphones. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Study, specification, design and verification of high-quality digital and mixed-signal ICs
  • Write digital specifications for mixed-signal ICs, make area and power estimations
  • Interaction with internal ASIC development team (both Poland and Denmark sites) and product development in Germany to ensure optimal utilization of the IC
  • Write documentation


Your competences within digital IC design

  • You are a dynamic and highly motivated engineer who owns a  with at least two years of working experience in digital IC design
  • You have experience with front-end ASIC or FPGA prototyping in VHDL and/or Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
  • You have experience with front-end verification, preferably in SystemVerilog + UVM, to write directed tests, constrained randomized tests and to gather and interpret metrics such as code/condition/FSM/toggle/functional coverage
  • You are theoretical well founded and/or experienced within the field of digital signal processing (DSP)
  • You have experience with digital synthesis, logic equivalence checking (LEC) and Static Timing Analysis (STA), Experience with UPF and/or CPF and DFT and ATPG is a plus
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python and C is a plus
  • Experience and passion for digital audio is a plus
  • Experience with any of the following protocols and techniques is a plus: SPI, I2C, I2S, Soundwire (MIPI), FSM design
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • 1-2 ASIC projects aimed at product development
  • Up to 3 MPW runs aimed at development of ASIC sub-blocks for new product generations
