Inductors: Smallest data line chokes for automotive electronics

No picture available

EPCOS has developed the world’s smallest current-compensated data line chokes for automotive electronics: the SIMDAD 1210 measures only 3.2 x 2.5 x 2.5 mm3. Despite a volume reduction of over 50 percent compared with the previous 1812 case size, their good electrical and mechanical parameters have been retained.

The chokes cover an inductance range from 11 to 100 µH and are designed for continuous temperatures of 150 °C. They are lead-free and RoHS-compliant. Qualification to AEC-Q200 is pending. These chokes satisfy all requirements of the CAN and FlexRay bus systems.
