TDK Corporation presents the new B32355C* series of EPCOS MotorCap motor run capacitors, which are designed for a high continuous operating temperature of 100 °C. They are based on a metalized polypropylene film, feature self-healing properties, and conform to Safety Class S3 as specified in IEC 60252-1.

The low-profile C39 type, with dimensions of 0.65 mm x 0.65 mm x 0.24 mm is especially suitable for IoT and consumer applications.

TDK Corporation announced the development of the MMZ0402EUC series of chip beads, with the lowest DC resistance for a chip bead its size. The two new types with their respective impedance values of 150 Ω and 180 Ω at 100 MHz, feature DC resistance values of only 0.62 Ω and 0.69 Ω.

Varistors with increased permissible operating temperature

TDK Corporation presents leaded EPCOS metal oxide disk varistors, which have now been approved for an increased operating temperature of 105 °C (previously 85 °C). The reason for this is the recertification of the B722* series of varistors in accordance with UL 1449, 4th Edition, and IEC 61051.

Extended range of PTC inrush current limiters

TDK Corporation has extended its range of EPCOS PTC-based inrush current limiters. The four new versions of the B5921*J0130A020 series with plastic housing are designed for voltages from 280 V AC to 560 V AC. The B594* and B597* series of leaded disk components offer rated voltages of between 260 V AC and 560 V AC.

TDK Corporation presents a new series of 3D transponder coils for passive entry passive start (PEPS) and other access systems. Measuring just 11.5 mm x 12.5 mm x 3.6 mm, the B82453C*A* series features six types of 3D transponder coils that offer sensitivity levels from 45 mV/µT to 83 mV/µT.

World's smallest common-mode choke for automotive Ethernet

TDK Corporation presents the ACT1210L common-mode choke – the world's smallest of its type for automotive Ethernet applications. Its dimensions are just 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm, making it just half the size of the existing ACT45L choke which measures in at 4.5 mm x 3.2 mm x 2.8 mm. Series production of the new common-mode chokes starts in June 2017.

The new sensor offers a guaranteed accuracy of ±0.2° and at room temperature achieves the industry’s highest accuracy for angle error of only ±0.05°. CeraLink™ types with higher rated voltage

TDK Corporation has extended the CeraLink™ series with two low-profile (LP) types designed for a rated voltage of 900 V DC. The SMT capacitors have a capacitance of 0.25 µF and feature different terminations: the B58031I9254M062 type with L-style termination has dimensions of 10.84 mm x 7.85 mm x 4 mm, while the B58031U9254M062 with J-style termination measures only 7.14 mm x 7.85 mm x 4 mm.

Ultra-thin PiezoHapt™ actuator with low driving voltage

TDK has expanded its portfolio of haptic components with the new ultra-thin PiezoHapt™ actuator featuring a very short response time of just 4 ms. PiezoHapt has a unimorph design consisting of a multilayer piezo element bonded to one side of a vibration plate. With a thickness of a mere 0.35 mm the new haptic actuator is much thinner than conventional eccentric rotary motors and linear resonant actuators, and one of the world's thinnest haptic devices.
